Anybody got any tips or miracle products for spitting nails? I never bite them but can never grow them long as they just split and flake when they get to a certain point grrr.

Any suggestions or is something im just gonna have to live with lol?

Sorry I really can't help. Haven't found the miracle cure yet sadly...

i know what you mean i have weak nails and take longer to grow than others.
i recommend trying a product such as opi nail envy, it really made a difference to my nails, no splitting
This is about £15 i think but saw that qvc have two for the price of one, so try there
or try ebay you may get a better price
My other tip is always use hand cream as will provide moisturiser
also use a cuticle oil as this will nourish your nails and stop them breaking.
I have used opi avoplex oil in the past, just finished my bottle and purchased the creative design solar oil which i got on ebay.
Use the oil a few times a day and at night as this will means that as you do not wash your hands it will remain there.

if they do break you can do the teabag technique, put a bit of teabag on it then use like a clear nailpolish on top will stop it from splitting more

and it makes it stronger and go back to normal

I'll definately be giving these tips a go. My nails always get weak if I have been washing up, so I try not to do the washing up where possible!! It's a mans job anyway!

I highly recommend creative solar oil. It works wonders on splitting nails. You can also buy a miniture bottle to try for about £2.99 and it last ages. Just massage in morning and night.

Thanks for all the tips! Im rubbing vaseline in my nails every night before bed at the mo and they feel alot smoother so gonna see how that goes.

Boosting your intake of biotin and folic acid can remedy cracking, splitting nails. Biotin is found in cauliflower, lentils and peanuts; folic acid is found in spinach, navy and pinto beans.
Or just buy a vitamin supplement for these or calcium tablets.
