The idea of this lipstick is a cool concept. It is long lasting and is a very reasonable price. However, this turned far too bright on me. I was after a pink lipstick, but this turns bright bright fuschia/ almost red on me. Also I'm not keen on the texture, it's not at all creamy and that's something I look for in a lipstick. I actually found it to be quite drying on the lips. All in all I think it's more of a gimmick than anything. I normally love Barry M products but this product gets a thumbs down!

I'm a student and therefore i love anything cool/different! This caught my eye and reallt entrigued me to buying it! I havn't tried out the Barry M lipticks yet because none of the colour ranges suit me, although i have heard good stuff about them. But this one is just strange and by that i mean dissapointing!

Pros:
- It's very VERY LONG LASTING! it does not even nudge, no matter how many times you lick your lips / eat/drink!
- The colour ranges in shade depending on how many coats you apply. Fewer coats = lighter pink colour, loads of coats = darker pink/reddy colour.
- It's in a really nice packaging and it's very small compared to the other lisptick brands, not sure if the other BM ranges are like that too.
- It doesn't look bad when it's on your lip regarding texture because it's not too drying.
- It's a very unique product, which is good :]
- it is sheer, and so you can wear it on it's own.

Cons:
- The darker colour doesn't suit me at all, and it's really hard to control the precise type of pink you are looking for because it changes depending on the salinity levels of your lips ([Ph)
- When i wore it, you could see that the colour on the inside of my lips/mouth was much brighter than the rest of the lip which made it stand out more = not a good look!!!!! espeically because ur spit has differnt alkaline levels than your mouth!
- It smelt really acidic to me and i think when you apply it it goes pink which is the strongest acid! and that made me feel a bit uneasy~lol.
- It's not very creamy this one. It's so hard (like a crayon)
-you don't realise how much is actually going on your lip, because it goes on clear, then after reacting with the alkali it starts showing colour.

Overall i don't actually recomend this product. I find that it the whole reacting with alkali thing doesnt work for me, but it may work for you. My lips are pigmeneted and so not all shades of pink look good, so i'm not too keen on it. Although it is a VERY unique product and i think the next lip product Barry M bring out should be glow in the dark - that one I would definatly repurchase regardless of any other things - haha. This is the first time Barry M have dissapointed me. *sniff sniff*

TOUCH OF MAGIC! ever walked past the Barry M counter in superdrugs or boots and noticed a green lipstick and thougt OMG! I did, I picked up the product and swatched it on my hand and it wasn't green :O The lip paint goes on pink!! This is because it reacts with the alkaline levels in your lips and depending on your level, it will either be pale or really rich.

The more layers you apply the darker it will go.
If I want a pink look then I apply a thin layer but if I want bold lips I apply several layers and it comes out bright red, but again this will depend on the alkali level of your lips.

I find the product very moisturising and it has a shine to it, so I don't need to apply a gloss or anything on top. It also lasts for AGES even if you eat. The Barry M website says it lasts for up to 8 hours which is awesome =D
