Rimmel  60 Seconds Nail Polish

I must admit that my review for this nail polish is a little mixed.

I do like the rimmel 60 second nail varnishes. Rimmel are a highly accessible brand with some supermarkets now stocking these varnishes. As for price - they are good value for money at around £3.50 a jar when compared to OPI and China glaze varnishes. There are 26 shades available including the more classic red carpet and quirkier colours such as the beautiful green with enzy varnish.

I own a rimmel 60 second varnish in baby pink colour (twinkle). I find that these varnishes are highly pigmented and don't need multiple coats on application to get a good colour payoff. That said, don't think that just because the colour looks good you only need one coat - I personally find these varnishes chip easily - certainly more than the Barry M nail paints. Always wear a top coat with your varnishes! Even with a good to coat I don't find these varnishes to be the best for not chipping.

As for drying time - I don't think that these varnishes dry in 60 seconds. Mine was still tacky after a couple of minutes. Granted they dry quicker than other nail varnishes - but these are not mini miracles!

Application wise - these varnishes glide on fantastically. The brush applicator is soft and applied enough product for a effortless flawless application.

All in all this is a good affordable nail varnish - but don't believe the hype. It doesn't dry in 60 seconds and it isn't very long lasting. Application is easy and the results look great.

I loved the colour and the fact it dried within 60 secs however i was extremely dissapointed to find that after 1 trip to a friends hot tub party i had only half my nail varnish on as it had just simply chipped the top half off!!! I have however discovered a new one that does last my hot tub test haha Collection 2000 Hot Looks and the colours are vibrant too. I reccomend this polish over the Rimmel which dissappointed me.

easy to use brush, designed flawlessly, long lasting colour, long lasting polish, didnt dry up as quick as others usually do... definitetely something worth buying

these polishes are my favourite!

they go on super well.. the brush is fantastic shape and quality.. when these are on special they are crazy prices each.. the are deffinatly worth it!

although they are prone to chip quite easily..the only problem.. colour do with some other colour choices !

overall these are usually polishes i always opt for!

this is an amazing product, cannot belive how long lasting no chipping after a week and siney too. i have used several shades but my favourite at the moment is a denim blue that i got as a gift from a friend. for the price the quality is excellent and yes it does dry in 60 seconds very useful if you are in a rush.

It is a case of you get what you pay for, however, these are great if you want to keep up to the minute fashion wise. They do dry fairly quickly but I have found that you almost always need two coats for a really decent finish. They tend to go a bit thick quite quickly if you tend to use a colour a lot, but since they are quite long lasting i.e. don't chip too badly, you can get quite a lot of use from a small bottle. Keeping them in the fridge helps too.

Great value for a cheap treat when you need cheering up!

I bought this varnish in 'Green With Envy', which is actually more of a turquoise colour, lovely! It doesn't dry in 60 seconds to be perfectly honest, but it certainly dries a lot faster than most varnishes. It's quite thick so you get good coverage on each nail, and don't really even need a second coat. It does save me a lot of time, and is reasonably priced. It's fairly long lasting but will need touch-ups unless you wear a top-coat, so I recommend doing that. All in all a nice little no-fuss, reasonably priced varnish in a lovely array of colours. Recommended!

love this product would highly recommend to anyone dried very quicky didnt smell so strong and lasted about 2 weeks without chiping, i love the various colours in this nail polish. 5/5 for me

This is a great value polish which comes in a range of different colours. There really is a colour to suit any occasion or match any outfit.

The polish is really easy to apply as the brush is quite thick so you can get a good coverage in just one coat. The polish dries really quick so if you do want to apply more than one coat for a deeper colour you're not sat there for hours waiting for each coat to dry before applying another one.

I have found that the polish can chip if you don't apply a topcoat but as long as you remember your topcoat the colour lasts at least a week. If you want long lasting colour without the need for topcoat then I would recommend trying one of the long lasting varnishes such as Barry M or the Rimmel vinyl however for a decent cheap and good value nail varnish then this is ideal.

This is a fabulous nail polish offering excellent value for money I bought mine in boots and paid under £3 for it.
I work as airline crew and am expected to look well groomed and have lovely nails and this nail polish definitely delivers the results I need for work and is just as good and hard wearing as OPI.
The wand brush is easy to use and the nail polish drys super fast and usually lasts me for 2 long flights so that I don't need to remove it and reapply until I return home from a trip.
An excellent nail polish.

i love these polishes, i got a coral colour for about £4 from my local boots. the brush is new and improved and means its easier to use over your nail. it dries as it says, really quickly, though you might want to wait longer than a minute for it to be completely dry. i top this off with seche vite top coat which makes it last for ages, it might chip after a couple of days without a good topcoat.

There is a good selection of colours. The bottle is a little wider than most which makes it easier to use with wand. Took longer than 60 seconds to dry. Would reccomend using more than one coat for a discent looking finish. Was a little disapointed with the end colour result as it did not look as nice as when in the bottle.Value for money I would rate approx. 7.

I think this had all the right factors to be a great nail polish; was'nt gooey or thick, had a really good wand and you could buy it in many colours. one big flaw though--The polish didnt even dry in 60 seconds! i was so disappointed I had to wait a good 3 minutes before it dryed I had only done one coat! shocking. But i have given it 5 stars for its design as i loved the colour.

I bought 819 Green with Envy which is basically a bright turquoise from Boots. Costing me £3.49. They have a wide variety of shades to choose. From blacks and dark purples to royal blues or orange.

It’s quite a small bottle and contains 8ml of varnish. As the brush is wider at the bottom it makes it easier to apply to the corners of your nails which might be a bit difficult to get to. If you do get any on the tips of your fingers it’s rub away friendly as it cleans off without leaving varnish stains on your hands.

It does dry within 60 seconds and you are able to do the things which you might do a bit gingerly in case of smudging.

It advises one coat however if you want a bolder colour I’d opt for 2 coats. This doesn’t make a difference as to how long it will take to dry either.

I found that it lasted me 5 days before it started to chip and over time it doesn’t go too gloopy either. I would strongly recommend this as it is the best varnish that Rimmel has produced and is a reasonable price as well.

I bought the 619 pulsating pink colour (bright pink - i think that's the name). However when i wore it it was completely different to how it looked in the bottle. It was very unsmooth because of the glitter and looks much nicer on the bottle. It didn't even dry in 60 seconds.

Pros:
- Lasts a good few days or a week
- Variety of gorgeous colours which may not be availabe from other brands
- very nice brush and easy to apply.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish is one of my favs..i have quite alot of shades in this product.

It drys quite quickly, even though it goes on quite thick i always need two coats.

They have a wide range of colours to suit everyone i think. Including shades with glitter in.

It does not smell that strong when applying.

Its quite chip resistant...lasting around 5 days- more with a top coat.

Its a reasonable price. Appears a small bottle but lasts well.

This really is a fast-drying nail varnish. The shaped, widened brush makes painting your nails really easy and accurate too. Some colours need a second coat, but that's no problem. Stays chip-free for several days.

I originally got this product in a free make up bag but as a result of using it have bought other colours.It is easy to apply as it says quick drying and lasts for a long time with no chipping or flaking

About the product: This nail polish does exactly what it is meant to do and dries super quick. The applicator is cleverly shaped to make it easy to apply the nail polish. The nail polish itself is of very good quality; it is smooth and glides nicely over your nail in one stroke. It does exactly what it says it is meant to do; dry in 60 seconds. I don't know if that is the exact time but it sure is quick and you don't have to wait ages for it to dry without smudging your nails in the meantime. This product also comes in a variety of colours which is always an added bonus!

Price: The price of this is product I think is around £3 and available at superdrug and boots and I would expect some other retailers to sell it aswell.

My Verdict: Well I really like this product and is the quality I think of an OPI or Chinaglaze. Except at a cheaper price so it is an all round thumbs up for me :)

Loved the way it went on and did dry fast without smudging

This comes in a neat little bottle that's easy to open and doesn't seem to get clogged up with old dried up varnish. It's really easy to apply and doesn't seem to overload my nails with one coat. It dries quickly and with an even finish meaning that would should be good to go within about 3 minutes of starting to paint your nails. Loads of great colours and with Rimmel you know they are going to bring out the latest trend colours.

I love this product. It does actually dry quickly, takes slightly longer if more than one coat is aplied though. The range of colours are great too. The bottle lasts a long time as you only need one coat and your done! This product usually lasts maybe 4days till it starts chipping so pretty great! I would buy it again and again!

I very rarely wear nail polish, but the few times I have I found that Rimmel has ticked all the boxes. It is easy to apply and drys quickly. I do not have the patience to sit for a long time waiting to be able to use my fingers. It also lasts for a good time, does not chip easily.

This is a brilliant product, which applies very easily (the brush is great), dries quickly, so doesn't smudge, and looks great for days without chipping or flaking......I am a dog breeder, and spend a lot of my time with my hands in all kinds of stuff, water, disinfectant, poo etc.....this is one of the only nail polishes I have found that lasts well and takes a minimum of time to apply and dry.

I've actually got what's on the picture on my toes!This product is quick and easy, very fast at drying, and lasts a long time. It does exactly as it says on the bottle. This is defenitly good to use if your in a hurry!

it's quick and easy to use and it does dry in about 60 seconds time. you only need one coat and the colours are lovely.

the brush is amazing as you only need one stroke - makes the product last a lot longer.

This is my favourite beauty product ever! I love the dark purple colour for nails that is around at the moment. Other varnishes I tried last all of a couple of hours before chipping. Some varnish doesn't seem to dry, and stays sticky even after 30 mins. This 60 second varnish really did dry in 60 seconds! The quality wasn't poor either, as I wore this varnish all day and then into the evening without a chip in sight! Great value for money!

the applicator makes it easy too use and gives a smooth even converage, the colours avaliable are vast and they are vibrant.

My Review:
I use this product either alone (over a Nails Inc treatment such as their protein polish) or as a top coat when using a coloured polish. I like that its pretty flexible and doesn't chip easily (I do a lot of filing and typing at work and it holds its own).

A good clear polish should be a staple of everyone's kit and this product hits the spot for me, it applies evenly thanks to a well designed brush and although its not totally dry in 60 seconds, you're good to go not long after that.

Background:
I purchased this product approximately six months ago and still have about half a bottle left after applying approximately once a week, maybe slightly less often. I usually prepare my nails by buffing and polishing with a Leighton Denny 4-side file, sometimes I'll just use one coat of this polish for a groomed look or I'll use it as a top coat over a coloured polish.

Packaging:
The only thing I would say is that the very round bottle sometimes 'rolls' along my fingers, unlike some of the more oval/square bottles, but for the price and quality of the product, this can easily be overlooked.

Price:
You can buy the polish for approximately £3.50 (but definitely look out for 3for2 and 1/3rd off type offers which often available on this brand for an even better deal). For the money this polish does what it says on the tin.

This was pretty good, lovely range of colour and easy to apply was not perfectly dry after 60 secs, but still very quick drying, but like every other nail polish I have tried chipped too quickly.

i loved the rimmel 60 seconds polish..i bought the rapid ruby color perfect for party wear..2 coats were perfect.the brush was good and the over all quality of polish was good.it comes in many party shades.

for a drug store nail varnish it is pretty cheap. the shape of the brush makes it easy to apply and it comes in a variety of colours which is always good.although it does dry very quickly i find that 2 coats are needed.

This nail polish is great for if you need a quick fix before a night out. It has a good colour range and it's cheap in price. But it takes longer than 60 seconds to dry and starts to chip after a few days.

I got sent a bottle free from Rimmel and have only used it twice. The bottle is small but handy to take away with you on holiday. I like the shape of the brush which made it really easy to apply. The varnish sets really quickly so if your in a rush this product is for you. The colour was quite vibrant and didn't need to apply much but it doesn't last long, as i said it is not a long lasting polish it is for people that want a quick fix. Nice, cheap and quick!

I recently tried this product and at first i was impressed.The polish went on nice and smooth but sadly i still managed to smudge a finger mark on to one of the nails so maybe i need something which is almost instant dry. The second day of wear i got my first flake off, so i decided to remove and reapply what a nightmare to remove completely i couldn't get all of the varnish off and after nearly a quarter of a bottle of remover it was gone. This product was nice to apply and looked fine for about a day but was a nightmare to remove. I was expecting a bit more for the price. I think ill try something else in the future

In terms of colour and ease of use, it is a good nail varnish as it dries quick to touch; this doesn't make it anything special though. The bottles are quite small for the price and when I left the bottle in a suitcase it leaked everywhere! I had fastened the bottle properly as far as I am aware as I've never had this problem in the past but if you're going to part with £2-3 for a nail varnish there are better ones available!

After just one coat of this glorious coloured polish, and i was done!! it dried in fast too . id recommend it to anyone !!!

I bought a peach coloured version of this polish and it does indeed dry very quickly so its good to use if you just want to do your nails quickly for a special occasion but it isnt very chip resistant and it does take more than 1 coat if you want it to look its best.

Having recently become a bit obsessed with bright coloured nail varnishes, I decided it was time I started becoming a bit more frugal with them and buying cheaply. Think this one was about £2.50 which was ok. Comes in a small, typical nail varnish shaped glass bottle with a black lid and brush. The label promises it will be dry in under 60 seconds, will only need one coat and is quick and easy to apply. A label on the lid also claims that the brush has been specially designed to make application rapid and precise, which I believe it has and it helps. The nail varnish itself is quite thick but not gloopy, but even so it still will need 2 coats to make it completely non see through. A few hours after applying I washed my hands and little bits on the ends of the nails chipped off or flaked off which obviously isn't ideal, maybe I hadn't left them to dry long enough but this stuff is supposed to be fast drying. All in all a good nail varnish for cheap, fashionable colours but I wouldn't rely on these if you wanted professional looking nails.

This really is super, the colours are bright and last for a long time when a top coat is applied. Very hardwearing too! This is super and the price is CHEAP!

whoever cannot wait for the nailpolish to dry or hates when the colour chips of after a few days should try this.
One coat is enough for an even finish, it is completly dry in 60seconds and you can even look for the keys in your handbag without ruining the varnish.
Plus there are so many colours in this range that you will finid your favourite once for sure.

I love this nail polish! Its quick easy and long lasting! As others have said- it does what it says on the tin! Combine it with a good top coat and you'll have a long lasting manicure of up to 2 weeks (if you can bear to wear the same colour for such a long time- I like to change mine regularly)

In a word - SUPERB - this product does exactly what it says on the bottle - 60 SECONDS. Not many of us have the time to wait around for each coat to dry and this product has the advantage of only needing one coat. It gives excellent durability, a great choice of colours and wont break the bank,a real winner.

ronseal is very good ,its dry in 60sec just as it tell you its hard so it stay on longer , i love the pink
